O2 Employment Services is partnering with a well-established heavy equipment rental company in Redding, CA, to find an experienced Shop Foreman. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical background, leadership skills, and the ability to oversee daily shop operations.

The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable supervising a team of mechanics and yard personnel while ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Shop Foreman – Compensation & Benefits
  • $25.00–$32.00 per hour (DOE)

Shop Foreman – Schedule
  • Monday–Friday
  • Full-time, in-person position
  • One Saturday per month (8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.)
  • Occasional overtime as needed
Shop Foreman – Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily shop operations, including mechanics, technicians, and two yard employees
  • Coordinate repair schedules, workflow, and job priorities to ensure timely completion
  • Review repair jobs with mechanics to understand work needed and monitor progress
  • Meet with customers during equipment drop-off to discuss concerns and repair needs
  • Communicate customer requests and equipment issues to technicians and service writers
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly and meet company standards
  • Coordinate with service writers, parts, and sales departments to keep operations running smoothly
  • Address equipment breakdowns, urgent repairs, and customer concerns as needed
  • Maintain shop safety standards and ensure a clean, organized work environment
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, communication, and overall shop efficiency
Shop Foreman – Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience supervising mechanics, technicians, or shop personnel preferred
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment repairs required
  • Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or a related mechanical industry preferred
  • Ability to review repair needs and communicate effectively with technicians and customers
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple repair jobs and delegate tasks effectively
  • Comfortable using computers and learning internal software systems
  • Dependable, motivated, and able to work independently
