Payroll Specialist
O2 Employment Services is looking to find their next Payroll Specialist. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity located in Redding, CA. The ideal candidate will have previous payroll experience, including certified payroll and prevailing wage.
Payroll Specialist Compensation & Benefits
- $30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience

Payroll Specialist Qualifications
- Certified payroll and prevailing wage experience REQUIRED
- Previous payroll experience REQUIRED
- Light accounting experience is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong general math skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to follow directions and take detailed notes
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Team player who can work in a fast-paced environment
Payroll Specialist Responsibilities
- Calculate employee pay and deductions
- Collect, calculate, and enter payroll data
- Maintain and update payroll records
- Process certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements
- Prepare reports for earnings, taxes, deductions, and other payroll information
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Follow applicable payroll laws and regulations
- Maintain payroll operations according to established policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
