Marine Mechanic

Lakehead, CA $25 – $35
O2 Employment Services is partnering with a reputable company in the Lakehead area to find their next Certified Marine Mechanic. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance on a variety of marine equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of inboard and outboard systems, marine generators, and aquatic equipment.

Marine Mechanic Compensation:
  • $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday
  • Overtime may be available during peak boating season
Marine Mechanic Qualifications:
  • Marine Mechanic certification required
  • 3–5 years of experience working on marine and aquatic equipment required
  • Strong knowledge of inboard and outboard engine systems
  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine generators
  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, fuel, and cooling systems
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor environments
Marine Mechanic Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain inboard and outboard engines, marine generators, and other aquatic equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, winterizations, and preventative service
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic equipment
  • Install, repair, and replace marine components and accessories
  • Complete repairs according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair recommendations to customers
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Provide exceptional workmanship and customer service on every repair
