Heavy Equipment Yard Laborer
O2 Employment Services is partnering with a well-established heavy equipment rental company in the Redding area seeking a dependable and hardworking Yard Laborer to join their team. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working outdoors, and being around equipment and machinery. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with room for growth.
Heavy Equipment Yard Laborer – Compensation:
- $16.90 – $20.00 per hour, depending on experience

Heavy Equipment Yard Laborer – Qualifications
- Previous yard, labor, construction, landscaping, mechanic, farm, or heavy equipment experience preferred
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials and equipment
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to follow directions and work independently or with a team
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Heavy Equipment Yard Laborer – Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading heavy equipment and materials
- Clean, organize, and maintain the yard and equipment areas
- Inspect equipment for cleanliness and basic operational readiness
- Wash and prepare rental equipment for customer pickup and return
- Assist customers and drivers with equipment movement and staging
- Operate hand tools and basic shop equipment safely
- Support mechanics and shop personnel as needed
- Perform general labor duties around the yard and facility
- Maintain safety standards and keep work areas clean and hazard-free
