Ground Solar Installer

Red Bluff, CA $20 – $30
O2 Employment Services is working with a local solar company to find their next Solar Ground Installer. This position involves hands-on work installing ground-mounted solar systems, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience working with Enphase and/or SolarEdge systems.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working outdoors in a physically demanding environment. Candidates should be willing to travel regularly, work extended hours when needed, and demonstrate their skills on the job, as performance-based pay increases are available.

Solar Ground Installer – Compensation & Benefits
  • $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
  • Starting pay typically on the lower end with increases based on proven performance
  • Full-time opportunity
  • Overtime available, especially during out-of-town assignments

Solar Ground Installer – Qualifications
  • Previous solar installation experience required
  • Experience with Enphase microinverters and/or SolarEdge systems strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with solar electrical components, wiring, and system layouts
  • Construction or electrical experience is a plus
  • Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor environments
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record required per vehicle insurance requirements
  • Must be reliable and able to work extended hours when needed
  • Willingness to travel regularly for out-of-town projects
  • Ability to follow direction and demonstrate skills on the job
Solar Ground Installer – Responsibilities
  • Assist with installation of ground-mounted solar systems
  • Install and work with Enphase and/or SolarEdge components, including inverters and related equipment
  • Perform basic wiring and electrical tasks under supervision
  • Complete general ground work including trenching, leveling, and site prep
  • Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and job site expectations
  • Work closely with crew members to complete projects efficiently
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and demonstrate skill progression
Solar Ground Installer – Schedule & Travel Requirements
  • Full-time schedule
  • Frequent out-of-town work required
  • Typical travel schedule is Monday morning departure (5:30–6:00 AM) through Friday evening
  • Employees stay at a company campground during travel assignments
  • Typically working 10-hour days while out of town
