AutoCAD Drafter / Project Manager
O2 Employment Services is working with a well-established local custom cabinetry and millwork company to find their next AutoCAD Drafter / Project Manager in Cottonwood, CA.
This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced drafter who is comfortable reading architectural plans, producing detailed shop drawings, and helping manage projects from initial planning through production and completion.
The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, architects, designers, and internal production teams. Experience with cabinetry, millwork, Cabinet Vision, or CNC programming is highly preferred.
AutoCAD Drafter / Project Manager – Compensation & Schedule
- $60,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience, ability, and performance

AutoCAD Drafter / Project Manager – Qualifications
- Previous drafting and AutoCAD experience required
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications, and scope sheets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to manage project details, timelines, revisions, and deadlines
- Ability to communicate and problem-solve with contractors, architects, designers, and internal teams
- Cabinet Vision experience highly preferred
- Experience with Cabinet Ware is a plus
- Practical woodworking and cabinet design experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ADA and AWI rules, restrictions, and requirements is helpful
- Experience drafting and laying out cabinet or millwork projects is a plus
- Associate degree preferred
- Must be punctual and dependable
AutoCAD Drafter / Project Manager – Responsibilities
- Prepare takeoffs from architectural plans for millwork and casework projects
- Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and project scope
- Confirm measurements and project details
- Produce accurate working sets of shop drawings
- Create ready-to-build designs using AutoCAD and applicable cabinet design software
- Communicate and problem-solve with contractors, architects, and designers
- Track revisions, project updates, timelines, and key deadlines
- Coordinate job information between drafting, CNC, production management, and foremen
- Program CNC equipment and work closely with the CNC operator and production team
- Oversee Cabinet Vision setup and training
- Support project management responsibilities from planning through completion
- Help ensure projects remain accurate, organized, and on schedule
