O2 Employment Services is working with a local organization to find their next Compliance Officer in Cottonwood, CA. This position combines community patrol and compliance with administrative responsibilities and regular interaction with the public.
 
The ideal candidate will be professional, observant, organized, and confident communicating with others, including during difficult or confrontational situations.
 
Compliance Officer – Compensation & Schedule
  • $20.00–$23.00 per hour
  • Full-time Schedule
  • Monday–Friday
  • 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
  • Possibility for weekend hours as needed
Compliance Officer – Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily community patrols and identify, photograph, and document potential violations or concerns
  • Communicate with community members regarding rules, guidelines, and compliance issues
  • Monitor properties and community areas for concerns, including weed abatement, parking, safety, and maintenance issues
  • Prepare notices, violation letters, and other compliance correspondence
  • Process complaints and maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and follow-up documentation
  • Follow established procedures for escalating violations and enforcement
  • Coordinate and participate in compliance hearings, including preparing and presenting relevant information
  • Communicate professionally with individuals regarding violations, corrective actions, fines, and appeal procedures
  • Coordinate with local agencies when necessary
  • Assist with phones, payments, and general office responsibilities as needed
  • Perform minor community cleanup and additional compliance duties as assigned
 
Compliance Officer – Qualifications
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Professional and respectful when handling sensitive or difficult situations
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when interacting with upset or confrontational individuals
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to document and follow up on concerns accurately
  • Comfortable working independently and enforcing established rules and procedures
  • Basic computer and technology skills, including email, spreadsheets, and general office programs
  • Ability to balance outdoor fieldwork with administrative responsibilities
  • Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Previous experience in compliance, property management, code enforcement, security, customer service, or a related field is a plus
