O2 Employment Services is partnering with a local manufacturing company to find their next Welder / Install Technician Tier 2 (Heavy Duty). This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone with welding experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and a passion for building quality equipment.
Welder / Install Technician Tier 2 – Compensation & Schedule
- $24.00 – $28.00 per hour (DOE)
- Immediate opening
- Full-time opportunity
- Monday–Thursday, 4/10 schedule
- Three-day weekends every week (Friday–Sunday off)
Welder / Install Technician Tier 2 – Qualifications
- Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience required
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues
- Experience with 12V electrical wiring and electrical systems preferred
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials as needed
Welder / Install Technician Tier 2 – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and fabrication on commercial truck bodies and components
- Install truck beds, hoists, hydraulic systems, and related equipment
- Complete 12V electrical wiring for lighting, controls, and auxiliary systems
- Read work orders and technical drawings to ensure accurate builds
- Perform quality inspections to ensure completed work meets company standards
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical installation issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with production team members to meet project deadlines
- Assist with custom fabrication projects requiring precision and problem-solving
