Payroll & HR Administrative Assistant – Compensation & Schedule

Payroll & HR Administrative Assistant – Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in payroll, HR, accounting, or a professional office environment
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Experience with payroll software, HRIS, or applicant tracking systems preferred
  • Experience with Avionté BOLD, Doc Record, or similar systems is a plus
  • Valid California Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
Payroll & HR Administrative Assistant – Responsibilities
  • Assist with employee onboarding, new hire paperwork, and personnel file maintenance
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Assist with employment verifications, unemployment claims, workers' compensation documentation, and HR administration
  • Provide accounting support including data entry, invoice processing, reconciliations, and recordkeeping
  • Answer incoming phone calls and greet employees, clients, and visitors professionally
  • Assist employees and clients with general payroll questions
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and other business documents
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with general office organization
  • Provide administrative support to multiple departments as business needs require
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
