Medical Assistant
O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable Women’s Health Clinic looking for a Medical Assistant. This is a full-time regular role located in Redding CA. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to patients in a professional and respectful environment. You will assist healthcare providers with clinical procedures, patient intake, and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Medical Assistant Compensation:
- $21 an hour
- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00 pm
- Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2
Medica Qualifications:
- Previous Medical Assistant experience
- Experience in women's health preferred
- CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong EMR and computer documentation skills
- Professional, kind, and calming bedside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of sterilization, injections, and rooming protocols
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Room patients and prepare them for exams and procedures
- Record vital signs, patient history, and chief concerns
- Assist providers during women's health exams and minor procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and exam rooms
- Administer injections, medications, and lab collections as directed
- Process referrals, prior authorizations, and prescription requests
- Schedule appointments and support front office workflow as needed
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and chart updates
- Provide compassionate patient education and follow-up instructions
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
