O2 Employment Services is working with a well-established manufacturing company that is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at their Redding, CA facility. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity offering a stable work environment, a collaborative leadership team, and excellent long-term growth potential.
Plant Manager Compensation & Schedule
- Annual salary range: $80,000 – $100,000, DOE
- Full-time, exempt position based in Redding, CA
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO

Plant Manager Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations to meet or exceed production, quality, safety, and delivery goals.
- Translate company strategy into clear priorities, schedules, and process adherence.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
- Foster and maintain a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage plant budgets, control costs, and monitor KPIs for productivity, quality, and performance.
- Recruit, train, and develop employees to promote accountability, engagement, and growth.
- Partner with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure material availability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales and internal departments to align production with customer demand.
- Lead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Report plant performance and improvement initiatives to upper management.
Plant Manager Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in plant, operations, or production management within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success improving operational performance through process optimization and team development.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate, engage, and hold teams accountable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP/MRP or production scheduling systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High personal integrity and professionalism; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience in mechanical, fabrication, or equipment assembly environments.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement tools.
- Based in or near Redding, CA.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate production floors safely.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Frequent standing and walking required.
