Medical Assistant
O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable Medical Practice to find their next Medical Assistant. This position is based in Redding, CA.
 
Medical Assistant Compensation:
  •  $20 - $22
  • Vision, dental, and medical insurance offered through O2
  • Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am-12:30pm
 
Medical Assistant Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred
  • Prior experience in a pediatric healthcare setting is a plus
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills for electronic health records (EHR) and administrative tasks
 
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:
  • Assist healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of pediatric patients
  • Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information
  • Prepare and educate patients and their families for procedures and treatments
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed by physicians
  • Maintain clean and organized examination rooms
  • Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
