O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable nonprofit foundation to find their next Irrigation & Arboriculture Supervisor. This position is based in Redding, CA.
The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in irrigation systems and tree care, along with the ability to lead a team, prioritize projects, and maintain high standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.
Irrigation & Arboriculture Supervisor Compensation:
- $33.00 – $40.00 per hour (DOE)

Irrigation & Arboriculture Supervisor Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in irrigation systems (installation, maintenance, troubleshooting)
- 3–5 years of arboriculture experience including tree care, pruning, and health assessment
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Clear communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Experience with smart irrigation controllers preferred
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work in varying conditions
- Valid driver’s license required
- Certifications such as ISA Arborist, CIT, or CIC are a plus
Irrigation & Arboriculture Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems across multiple properties
- Monitor system performance and ensure efficient water usage and regulatory compliance
- Troubleshoot irrigation issues including valves, controllers, wiring, and distribution systems
- Develop and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather, soil, and plant needs
- Supervise and support landscape staff, including training and performance feedback
- Plan and assign daily tasks while prioritizing projects and timelines
- Oversee tree care including planting, pruning, health assessments, and removals
- Conduct tree risk assessments and support long-term tree management planning
- Operate and oversee use of equipment such as trenchers and other specialized tools
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation systems, tree inventory, and completed work
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and lead safety meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams to support overall operations and projects
