O2 Employment Services is working with a local construction company to find their next Fence Installer / Carpenter. This position involves hands-on work installing a variety of fencing types while utilizing carpentry skills for layout, measurement, and construction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, construction experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a crew. Candidates with leadership experience or the ability to grow into a lead role are highly encouraged to apply.
Fence Installer / Carpenter – Compensation & Schedule
- $20.00 – $30.00 per hour (DOE)
- Higher pay available for lead-level experience
- Full-time opportunity
- Monday–Friday schedule (hours may vary based on projects)
- Overtime may be available
Fence Installer / Carpenter – Qualifications
- Previous fence installation, carpentry, or general construction experience required
- Must be willing to complete a background check after conditional offer
- Valid driver’s license preferred; clean driving record may be required
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic layout
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Fence Installer / Carpenter – Preferred Skills
- Experience leading a crew or ability to step into a lead role
- Ability to read basic plans or layouts
- Experience operating equipment such as augers or skid steers
- Customer-facing experience is a plus
Fence Installer / Carpenter – Responsibilities
- Install various types of fencing including wood, chain link, and vinyl
- Perform layout, measuring, and site preparation
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Dig post holes, set posts, and ensure proper alignment
- Assist with material handling and job site organization
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
