O2 Employment Services is working with a reputable manufacturing company to find their next Instrument Production Technician / Instrument Production Associate Technician. This position is based in Redding, CA.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read and follow schematics and work instructions in a production environment.

Instrument Production Technician Compensation:
• $16.52 – $23.74 per hour (DOE)

Instrument Production Technician Qualifications:
• 1 year of instrument or equipment assembly experience for associate/entry level; 2–3 years for experienced level
• High school diploma required; related college coursework, trade school, or Associate’s degree preferred
• Experience with PCB assembly and electronic components preferred
• General soldering experience; wiring harness experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings
• Mechanical aptitude with hand, power, and electrical tools
• Basic knowledge of electrical components and test/measurement equipment
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Windows and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and quality focus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and solid work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and perform repetitive assembly tasks

Instrument Production Technician Responsibilities:
• Pull and follow job-related work instructions
• Assemble and test instruments, sub-assemblies, and small tools
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical assembly
• Build PCBs or PCB components at the experienced level
• Verify proper identification and condition of fixtures and tooling
• Report damaged tooling or fixtures to management
• Ensure all work meets engineering and quality standards
• Recommend tooling or equipment improvements
• Print product labels and manuals and assemble product documentation
• Perform quality checks on co-workers’ work when applicable
• Follow all company safety standards and manufacturing practices
• Perform other duties as assigned
