Operations Assistant
O2 Employment Services is working with a local manufacturing firm that is seeking an Operations Assistant to join their small but growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys variety in their work, and is looking for a long-term career path. The position will start part-time and transition into a full-time role, with the goal of eventually taking over the Operations Manager’s responsibilities.

Operations Assistant Compensation & Benefits
  • $20.00 – $25.00 per hour, DOE
  • Part-time, approx. 20 hours per week to start
  • Potential for full-time as the role develops
  • Casual, team-oriented environment
Operations Assistant Responsibilities
  • Support daily office and administrative operations
  • Manage estimates, invoicing, purchasing, and supply orders (including fabric and materials)
  • Learn and handle shipping processes, including preparing bills of lading
  • Utilize QuickBooks Online for accounting and financial tasks
  • Assist with production scheduling and general coordination between shop and office
  • Serve as a dependable backup to the Operations Manager, gradually taking on expanded responsibilities
Operations Assistant Qualifications
  • QuickBooks Online experience required
  • Previous general office/administrative experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
  • Experience in manufacturing or shipping processes a plus
  • Professional, polished demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable in a casual office setting with limited customer/phone traffic
