O2 Employment Services is working with a locally established company that is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Redding, CA. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery and equipment.

Compensation & Benefits
  • $30.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Proven experience in vehicle maintenance and automotive repair
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and industrial equipment
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Experience aligning tractor–trailer components
  • Welding and fabrication skills a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities of the Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including tractors and trailers
  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Conduct alignments, adjustments, and component repairs
  • Fabricate or weld parts as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and staff to resolve complex issues
